Bitrix24 Customisation
Bitrix24 customisation is engineering the platform to match your process instead of bending your process to the platform. VortexWeb delivers it worldwide at every depth as a Gold Partner: custom fields and workflows, Smart Process Automation, custom applications, and full development on the Bitrix24 REST API and D7 framework, from the team that publishes its own apps on the Bitrix24 marketplace.
What is Bitrix24 customisation?
Bitrix24 customisation is any change to a Bitrix24 account beyond its default configuration: new fields, pipeline stages, permission structures, automation rules, business processes, custom interfaces, integrations and applications built specifically for one business.
It ranges from a single custom field that takes ten minutes to a custom application that takes months. Most businesses that ask for customisation have a Bitrix24 that was set up quickly, works in principle, and does not fit how they actually operate. The customisation is closing that gap.
Strictly, customisation is changing a Bitrix24 that already exists, and implementation is setting one up from blank. In practice every implementation includes customisation, and most customisation requests come from businesses whose original setup skipped the discovery that would have got it right the first time.
What can be customised in Bitrix24?
Almost everything a user touches can be customised in Bitrix24, across four layers: configuration, automation, custom applications, and code-level development.
Custom fields that mirror your data. Stages that mirror your sales reality. Card layouts, list views and filters arranged for how each role works. The CRM looks like your business rather than a template.
Who sees what, who edits what, across departments, branches and roles. Multi-level permissions so a salesperson sees their deals, a manager sees their team, and an owner sees the business.
Stage-based tasks, follow-up sequences, escalation rules, notifications, approvals. The handovers that currently depend on someone remembering, made automatic.
Bitrix24's own framework for structured business processes that are not sales pipelines: approvals, procurement, onboarding, service requests, asset tracking, document workflows.
Applications built for your business and installed inside your Bitrix24, doing something the platform does not do natively. Dashboards, calculators, specialised interfaces, industry-specific tools.
Connections to telephony, messaging, portals, payment systems, ERP and anything with an API, with data normalised before it lands.
REST API and D7 framework work for custom interfaces, deep integrations and marketplace applications.
How does VortexWeb approach Bitrix24 customisation?
VortexWeb works at four depths and always starts at the shallowest one that solves the problem, because configuration is cheaper, faster and more maintainable than code.
Custom fields, pipeline stages, permission structures and workflow rules. No code. This covers the majority of what clients initially describe as custom development.
Bitrix24's automation framework, used to build the processes that sit outside the sales pipeline. Included on Bitrix24's higher plans and usually the right answer when a client asks for a custom module.
Built for your business and installed inside your Bitrix24. This is where VortexWeb's own product work started: every application on the Bitrix24 marketplace began as a customisation for one client that turned out to be a problem many clients shared.
REST API and D7 framework work when the platform genuinely does not reach.
Before quoting anything at the third or fourth depth, VortexWeb demonstrates why the shallower option does not work. If we cannot show you that in the product, you already own what you need and we say so.
When does Bitrix24 need custom development?
Bitrix24 needs custom development when you can demonstrate that the standard feature does not do the job. Roughly four in five requests for custom development are already possible through configuration or Smart Process Automation.
The one in five that genuinely needs code falls into three patterns. A process so specific to your business that no platform models it. A system that needs connecting and has no standard connector. A tool your team needs that Bitrix24 does not have and the marketplace does not offer.
Real estate is the clearest example. Portal integration, Trakheesi permit compliance and commission logic are not standard features anywhere, which is why VortexWeb built applications for them rather than configuring around them.
Does VortexWeb build custom Bitrix24 apps?
Yes. VortexWeb builds custom applications for individual clients, publishes its own applications on the Bitrix24 marketplace, and builds marketplace apps for software vendors who want their product inside Bitrix24.
An application built to your specification, installed inside your Bitrix24, doing what the platform does not do natively. Hosted and maintained by VortexWeb under licence.
VortexWeb's own applications, SpotClock, OnboardX, CleanScan, PropBridge and ZIWOCONNECT, are on the Bitrix24 marketplace with paying users. Every one began as a custom build for a client.
If you have a product and want distribution inside Bitrix24 without building a Bitrix24 team, VortexWeb builds the marketplace app, handles listing compliance and maintains it. ZIWOCONNECT is an example, built for ZIWO and published under their listing.
What is Smart Process Automation?
Smart Process Automation is Bitrix24's framework for building structured business processes that are not sales pipelines: approvals, procurement, onboarding, service requests, asset tracking, document workflows.
Each process gets its own stages, fields, permissions and automation, the same way a sales pipeline does, but for work that has nothing to do with selling. A leave request moves from submitted to approved. A purchase order moves from raised to paid. A new hire moves from offer accepted to confirmed.
It is included on Bitrix24's higher plans and is usually the right answer when a client asks for a custom module. VortexWeb configures it against your actual process, which is faster and more maintainable than building the same thing in code.
How much does Bitrix24 customisation cost?
Bitrix24 customisation is scoped and quoted per project after the free audit, because the range between a custom field and a full marketplace application is too wide for a list price.
What moves the number: which depth the work sits at, how many processes or integrations are involved, and whether a custom application is needed. Configuration work is often absorbed into an implementation. Custom applications and code-level development are quoted against a written specification, and the number you approve is the number you pay unless the scope changes.

They overlap. Customisation is changing a Bitrix24 that already exists. Implementation is the full setup from a blank account, and it includes customisation. If you already have Bitrix24 and it does not fit how you work, you are in the right place. If you have no Bitrix24 yet, see Bitrix24 implementation.

Yes. Applications built to your specification and installed inside your Bitrix24, doing what the platform does not do natively. Hosted and maintained by VortexWeb under licence, so you never have to staff it. Every VortexWeb marketplace app began this way.
Configuration and Smart Process Automation are stable across updates. Custom development on the REST API and D7 framework is stable but Bitrix24 releases regularly and occasionally changes behaviour. AMC clients get platform update checks ahead of release. Non-retained clients are notified and the fix is quoted.

Yes. VortexWeb starts with an audit of the existing configuration so we know what we are changing and why it was built that way. Inheriting an undocumented system is real work, and the audit is where that gets absorbed rather than surfacing as surprises mid-project.
Yes. Customisation is delivered worldwide from offices in Dubai, Noida and Auckland, remotely or on site. Discovery, specification, build and support run the same way regardless of location.
